Gameplay Experience
Super Mario Maker 2 lets you play, create, and share side-scrolling Super Mario courses exclusively on Nintendo Switch. In Story Mode, you play through over 100 original Nintendo-made courses and gather coins to rebuild Princess Peach’s castle.
In Course Maker, you can build your own courses using a wide range of parts and tools, creating anything from coin-shooting cannons to Bowser riding a giant Goomba. New course themes include desert, snow, forest, and sky, and a nighttime feature flips underground areas upside down and adds reduced gravity to sky levels.
Up to four players can compete in Versus mode or team up in Co-op mode, playing as Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Toadette. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is required for online features, and the game has shipped over 8.42 million copies, making it one of the best-selling games on Nintendo Switch.
